San Jose

Working as a Director at a Hospitality Marketing firm, my business travels take me to some great places around the country. But, my favorite trips are always to the West Coast. This week I had the pleasure of working a conference in the beautiful San Jose, California held at the historic Dolce Hayes Mansion.

Originally the home of the Hayes Family, the property is renowned for its 19th-century Mediterranean architecture. It is now a California Historic Landmark. The property was purchased in the 1990’s by the city of San Jose and then was later renovated into a hotel.

Once the conference came to a close and I was able to catch up on emails, a spa break was in order. The signature massage was heavenly! My body felt as if it was floating on a cloud.

All of that relaxation worked up an appetite. I ended my day catching up with one of my best girlfriends who resides just up the road in San Francisco. We headed down to the infamous Santana Row. The live, work, play development is filled with great shops and restaurants. What better way to spend a Friday evening?

Straits crispy calamari and coconut sprimp fried rice. Yum Yum!

I can’t wait to show you guys the cute pieces I grabbed from the BCBG going out of business sale!

What are your favorite spots on the west coast?
